Newborn Photography Arundel – I got to meet little Scarlett at 3.5 weeks old. She was so inquisitive and loved to watch everyone. Throughout the session Scarlett would look right into your eyes like she was trying to communicate with you, just adorable. As she was so alert we had a slow start but we finally got her off to sleep for some photos.

As soon as I tried to unwrap her though she decided it was time for a break and a snack. After feeding she thought she had missed out on too much already and wanted to be awake for the action. We captured some beautiful, relaxed family photos that really showed the connection and loving bond between Scarlett and her parents. Scarlett really is Daddy’s girl and loved to sleep and relax on his chest. He seemed to have the magic touch and that bond is only going to get stronger.

Jillian’s mother was here all the way from Canada to share this special time with her daughter and the friendship and love between them was evident. Such a beautiful and welcoming family. Their home was a photographers dream with large windows and neutral colouring.

Scarlett became a little overtired and we had to postpone the last setup for a couple of days. On the day I preferred that she got the sleep she needed instead of pushing on and having her distressed. When I came back a few days later she had already grown and her cheeks looked a little bigger. Scarlett’s neck was already so strong and kept lifting her head to look around. She was so alert and already trying to figure out the world around her. I was able to do the last setup easily to complete their gallery and snuck in a few more Mother/Daughter photos as a bonus.

Note: All of these images were taken in my client’s home. You are still able to have studio-look images without having to leave your house. Before your session I will discuss colour schemes and posing ideas and bring with me a range of different props and blankets to choose from on the day of the session. I will bring everything I need with me so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I know how hard it can be trying to leave the house in the first two weeks so I try to make the whole process as easy and comfortable as possible.
